Reinforcement Learning From Observed Behaviour
A third paradigm alongside RLHF and RLVR. No judge, no verifier — the behaviour itself is the training signal. Learns from observed human-to-human interaction in controlled environments.

The lab behind the model

CASCADE is one of three application surfaces from FBED Labs, the research organisation building the behavioural intelligence layer underneath modern commercial conversation. The model — Shannon — is shared across CASCADE, ConversationOS, and ICPX.

Founded by Josh Bardsley in August 2025, FBED Labs is based in London and is the parent organisation behind the Shannon neural network and the RLOB (Reinforcement Learning from Observed Behaviour) training paradigm.
